    04/18/06, Shanghai, China- Zhou Tiehai at his studio. The wall is remains of color air sprays of different canvas sizes used for his paintings. His assistant hangs the canvas on the wall to paint using air sprays with the same ropes Zhou's hands are tied with. Zhou does not use his hand to paint but he composes his painting in Photoshop on computer screen and hands out the computer prints to his assistants and then his assistants paint them on canvas according to the prints. Zhou's hands tied emphasize the fact that he does not use his hands to paint. It may well compare with the infamous picture of Iraqi war prisoner picture to demonstrate the two totally opposite results of hands tied. One for expression of art and the other for prisoner abuse.
